Inevitable’s are bound to happen cause it’s beyond our control and if things are beyond our control then there is nothing we can do,
Inevitable are situations that is unavoidable.
But,
There should always be plan, yes there are things that are beyond our control but with a plan we will still be able to move forward with the wedding.
Here are a few things that could go wrong on the wedding day;
1. ๐๐ก๐ ๐๐๐ค๐ ๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ ๐ ๐๐ฅ๐ฅ – The wedding baker might have done yet the best work ever but being human beings or mid handling of the cake could lead to a fall or if the cake is not well structured it could break and fall while laying the cake tiers or during transportation.

2. ๐๐จ๐ฌ๐ญ ๐๐๐ฒ๐ฌ – In my Oshiwambo tradition and I’m sure in most African cultures, there is always a room where people keep the drinks, food and wedding stuff for storage. That room key is usually entrusted to someone and that key could get lost due to the wedding pressure, I’m sure not why people only get confused on the wedding day ๐คทโโ๏ธ. With that key LOST, can you imagine the stress and delay? The solution, the lock could be completely removed or have an extra spare.

3. ๐ ๐จ๐ซ๐ ๐จ๐ญ๐ญ๐๐ง ๐๐ญ๐ฎ๐๐ – Rings is top of my list, I have seen a couple using their bridal partyโs rings because the wedding rings were forgotten at home and home is was far. The solution, Be careful with whom you pick to carry the rings to the ceremony or one who should be reminded consistently to always double-check.
4. ๐๐ญ๐ญ๐ข๐ซ๐๐ฌ – Stains, This is one of my worst fears as a wedding planner especially if the wedding gown has a fabric that is hard to remove the stain without washing the whole wedding gown, there are certain fabrics that stains can be removed without washing the entire wedding gown, bridesmaids dresses or the suits. The solution, Be careful when choosing your fabric or take care of your attire up at least the photoshoot.
5.๐๐๐๐๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐ฅ๐๐ง๐ง๐๐ซ – I’m writing this blog because something happened to me at my last wedding. One could prepare and plan but some things are beyond our control and the tools we use to execute the plans we planned could also fail us. m So, my phone decided to update itself on the night before the wedding day, day of the wedding and the morning of the second day because it was a two day wedding and there was nothing I could do but wait for the battery to Exhaust and guest what? Not knowing I charged my phone to 100% and having a good battery. It took about 33 long hours to exhaust the battery ๐. CAN YOU IMAGINE THE DAY I HAD? The calls I had to make, I was the contact person of most people and suppliers ๐คฆโโ๏ธ. The Solution, have things that are also printed (black and white), back up plan.

As Iโm writing this blog post more wedding inevitable are coming to my mind but I donโt want to make this a long blog so I will end here today and write a part 2 ๐๐๐๐๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐ง๐๐ฏ๐ข๐ญ๐๐๐ฅ๐๐ฌ very soon. Stay tuned.
This blog post is not to scare you but it just to alert you that ๐๐๐๐๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐ง๐๐ฏ๐ญ๐ข๐๐๐ฅ๐๐ฌ do exist and most have solutions or plan B.
Thank you reading, until next week,
Pam, X
